How Idara Setu App handles the information trusted to us by schools, staff, and parents.

Idara Setu App (“we”, “us”, the “Service”) is a school & coaching management product operated by Idara Studio. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using Idara Setu App you agree to this policy.
Who uses Idara Setu App
Idara Setu App is provided to schools and coaching institutes (each a “School”). The School is the owner (data controller) of the student, parent, and staff information stored in its account. We process that information on the School’s behalf to run the Service.
Information we collect
- Account & staff data: name, email, phone, and role of the people who log in (owners, admins, teachers).
- Student & parent data: student name, class, date of birth, gender, guardian name and phone, address, attendance, fees, marks, homework, and admission enquiries — entered by the School.
- Communication data: WhatsApp phone numbers and message content used to send welcome, fee, attendance, and notice messages that the School chooses to send.
- Technical data: basic log and device information needed to keep the Service secure and working.
How we use information
- To provide the Service — managing students, attendance, fees, marks, homework, admissions, and reports.
- To send messages to parents at the School’s instruction over WhatsApp (via the WhatsApp Business Platform / Meta) and other channels.
- To secure accounts, prevent misuse, and provide support.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
WhatsApp messaging
When a School enables WhatsApp, we use the official WhatsApp Business Platform (Meta) to deliver messages the School sends to the parents’ own numbers. Message content and recipient numbers are provided by the School. Meta processes this data under its own terms as the messaging provider.
Data storage & security
Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure (Supabase / Postgres) with row-level access controls so each School can only access its own data. Access tokens and secrets are stored server-side and are never exposed to browsers. We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as the School’s account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When a School closes its account, its data is deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period, unless we are required to keep it by law.
Your rights & deletion
Parents and staff may ask their School to correct or delete their information. Schools (and individuals) can also request deletion directly from us — see our Data Deletion instructions.
Children’s data
Idara Setu App stores student information on behalf of the School and its authorised staff. It is not a service used directly by children. Schools are responsible for having the appropriate consent to store student data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
